High Tech Clinic

Launched in May 2001 and expanded in 2004, Westmount Square Medical Imaging is owned and operated by  24 radiologists affiliated to the McGill University Health Center (MUHC). It provides diagnostic and interventional medical imaging.

Our endeavor stemmed from our motivation to enhance quality of services, in particular to decrease the waiting lists at the hospitals affiliated to the MUHC and to provide a state of the art clinic.

Our clinic operates in a digital environment using the  current generation of imaging equipment thus ensuring optimal services to physicians and patients.

PACS film storage (Picture Archiving Communication System) and CR (computerized radiography)  offers a state of the art alternative to conventional films Physicians can obtain access to the database for electronic viewing of their reports and images.

Thanks to the utilization of  current technologies, WSMI ensures that referring physicians  can obtain the results rapidly and efficiently,  allowing a quick and precise diagnosis for the benefit of their patients.

Communication with WSMI is also possible via Internet connections to all physicians with authorized access.  Exam reports and images are accessible directly from the physician's office.

Our facility provides over 7,000 square feet of space at the Mall level of the Westmount Square. It is conveniently surrounded by a medical center, which includes general and specialized medicine, laboratory services, home health care services, and other health related services.) Its location, close to the MUHC hospitals, is extremely convenient to patients from all areas of the city. (Directions are provided on the “Contact Us” page).

Most exams are covered by RAMQ. The cost of the exams that are not covered will vary according to established modalities (CT scan, MRI, and Ultrasound) and are generally covered by private insurance plans.
